You need a link to your business in Google Maps when you want to send it to a customer, put it in an email or on a business card, or add it to your website. You can get it in half a minute.
On a computer
- Open Google Maps and type the business name or address in the search box.
- Click the right result to open its card.
- Choose Share, then Copy Link in the window that opens.
On a phone
- In the Google Maps app, open the business's card.
- Tap Share and choose Copy, or pick the app you want to send the link to.
A map right on your website
The Share window also has an Embed a map button. Copy the snippet of code from it and your page shows a live map with your business. You don't paste a link there: you paste the map's code.
Short and long links
The link from the Share button is usually shortened (it starts with maps.app.goo.gl). That is fine for a customer. If your website or a tool will process the link further, the long form is usually more reliable, because Google may change a shortened link over time.
Before you send the link
- Open it on another device and check that it leads to the right business, not one with a similar name.
- Check that the business has the right address, phone number and opening hours. The link shows what is in the profile.
When you want more than a link
A map link is only the way in. The page people reach from Google decides whether they call.
