Web and applications
are one scale.
On one end, a webpage someone reads — texts, photos, contact, a form. On the other, a program people log into and use every day: their own data, their own accounts, their own rules. Most projects lie somewhere in between and may shift along this spectrum over time. You don't need to decide upfront which box you belong in — just say what needs to happen.
One end is read,
the other is used
There is a smooth transition between them. Almost every project lies somewhere along it, and most move closer to the right end over time.
The end that reads
A page. Someone will find you, read what you do, and then call or come. Nothing runs beneath it, and it doesn't have to.
- Company presentation
- What are you doing and for whom
- Web services or product
- one offer explained properly
- Catalog
- What do you offer and to what extent?
- Landing page
- one page for the campaign
- News and blog
- you write them yourself
- Multilingual version
- same website in a second language
The end that is used
A program in the browser. People log into it and work in it every day — it has its own data, accounts, and rules.
- Ordering system
- the customer will order from you, not via email
- Reservation and calendar
- available dates, reservations, confirmation
- Customer Portal
- the client sees their orders, documents, and history
- Internal tool for the team
- what the table holds today
- Custom content system
- administration made for your content
- Connecting to what's already running
- invoicing, warehouse, payments, mail
Most often, it's neither of those purely. A presentation website with an order form and appointment scheduling lies right in the middle — and you start with what it should say and what it should be able to do, not with what it will be called.
What changes with
position
on the scale
The closer to actual usage, the more decisions need to be made before you even start designing. That's what affects cost and timeline — not whether the end product is called a website or an application.
- Data that must be proposed
- It must be clear what is being created in the system — an order, an appointment, a client, a document — and how these things relate to each other. Only then does it make sense to address how it looks.
- Users and Permissions
- Not everyone can see everything. The owner, the receptionist, and the accountant need different views and different permissions.
- States and exceptions
- The order will be canceled, payment will not occur, and the deadline will be postponed. You must also account for what didn't succeed; otherwise, it will fall on you.
- Connecting to what's already running
- Invoicing, warehouse, payment gateway, sending mail. The new system must work with them seamlessly, not create extra work.
- Daily use instead of one-time reading
- People read a page and leave. In your program, your employees or customers spend hours every week — and they notice every little thing that slows them down.
A page that someone reads and leaves generates almost nothing. A portal where your customers log in represents most of the work. Everything else lies in between — that's why at the beginning we ask what should happen, not what type of website you want.
What does it cost
The price is based on the scope, not a per-unit price list. The specific amount is part of the written quotation, not an estimate upon initiation.
Web
od CZK 39,000
How many pages the website has, what is on them, and everything it should be able to do.
Web application — a small tool
od CZK 5,000
One thing that today's spreadsheet holds, rewritten so the entire team can work with it.
Web application — larger system
od CZK 149,000
Your own data, accounts, and rules. A portal where your customers log in, or a system that runs your company's operations.
The range for applications is broad by design. A small internal tool that replaces a spreadsheet for one person and a customer portal where your clients create accounts are not the same task — a single number would be inadequate for both.
Price listAfter launching, you don't have to ask anyone.
We hand over the website and application with administration to cms.sitely.cz. You log in there, not us, and you change what needs to be updated most frequently. You don't have to write to us and wait until we have time for it.
- Texts and photos
- Rewrite the service description, replace the image, delete the old one. Without us and without waiting.
- Pages and items
- You add a page, product, or item in the system. The unused one you hide.
- Prices
- You adjust the amount in the price list at the moment when you actually change it.
- Users and rights
- Add a colleague, remove someone who has left, and set what each team member can see.
What you get
upon delivery
Nothing is handed over as a file that you upload somewhere. It is handed over running and with access.
- Administration
- Access to cms.sitely.cz. You manage content there and view traffic statistics.
- Domain
- An address registered to you, with a certificate, so it runs securely.
- Hosting
- It runs somewhere, it's backed up, and someone takes care of it. You don't have to deal with it.
- Measurement
- Connection to Search Console and Analytics, and if needed, to Google and Facebook Ads.
Operations — hosting, backups, form emails, administration, and analytics — are a paid service. What you need from it is part of the offering.
Operating Price ListFrequently Asked Questions
If something is missing here, let us know. We will answer specific questions, not general ones.
- How do I know if I need a website or an app?
Depending on what people are supposed to do with it. If they just need to read something and then call or come in, it's a website. If they need to log in, order, reserve, or record something, there's software running behind it. Most often, it's both — a website where one part functions as an application. Tell us what should happen on your site, and we'll tell you where on this scale it falls.
- How much does it cost?
The web starts at CZK 39,000. Web application at CZK 5,000 for a small tool; larger systems from CZK 149,000. The price is determined by scope, not by a per-item price list, and you will receive a specific amount in the quote before any building begins. Design and review rounds are included in the price as long as the requirements do not change.
Price list- Can we start smaller and add more later?
Yes, and that often makes the most sense. You start with what the website should communicate, and orders, reservations, or sign-ups are added only when there's a reason for them. It's good to know about that next step in advance—then the design and how the website is built can take it into account.
- Will I manage the content myself?
Yes. It comes with an administration system where you can change texts, photos, and entire pages yourself, without us and without waiting. It runs at cms.sitely.cz, and besides content, you can also see visitor statistics there. The administration costs CZK 490 per month.
- What if I need it in more languages?
It can operate in multiple languages. This is charged as part of the operating costs, not as a one-time item—multilingual versions start at CZK 390 per month, with pricing based on the number of languages. It's best to specify right at the beginning how many languages you need, so that both the design and the quote can account for it.
- I already have the website. Does it make sense to rebuild it, or start from scratch?
That's not something you can decide from the table. Send us the address of your website, we'll take a look at it and get back to you with what can be done — whether it's enough to rebuild what's on it, or if it makes more sense to build it from scratch. This is one of two ways you can start with us; the other is a completely new project from the beginning.
- What is included in the construction cost and what is paid each month?
The build is a one-time effort — design, construction, and handover with access. What follows is paid operation, which you customize based on what the project actually needs: hosting, domain, and certificate from CZK 290 monthly, database and daily backups from CZK 290 monthly, mailing from CZK 190 monthly, and administration for CZK 490 monthly. Everything together, in one flat rate, from CZK 1,290 per month. Specific figures are part of the offer, not estimates after launch.
Don't worry about what
this will be called.
Write what should be created and who will use it. If you already have a website, just provide the address. We'll get back to you with what makes sense to build, to what extent, and at what cost.
New project
You don't have anything yet, or you're starting a new company or service. Tell us what should happen and for whom — you'll see the design before construction begins.
Redesign the existing website
You have a website, but you can't change anything in it—or do you want to work in it too: place orders, make reservations, log in? Send the address.
